Agropur celebrates its success at the 2026 World Championship Cheese Contest

APPLETON, WI, MARCH 5, 2026 – Agropur is proud to announce that 13 of its high-quality cheeses earned medals in their respective categories at the 2026 World Championship Cheese Contest, held March 3-5, 2026, in Madison, Wisconsin.

We’re honored that Agropur cheeses can once again be counted among the best in the world.”  

 

Agropur’s Weyauwega, WI team won six medals, including a best-in-class award for cheddar aged one to two years. Our Lake Norden, SD and Luxemburg, WI teams won best-in-class awards in the part-skim mozzarella and smoked provolone categories, respectively. Our winning cheeses are as follows:

 

Class 2 – Cheddar, Medium (3-6 months): Agropur – Weyauwega (third place)

Class 4 – Cheddar, Aged One to Two Years: Agropur – Weyauwega (first place)

Class 15 – Mozzarella: Agropur – Luxemburg (second place)

Class 16 – Mozzarella, Part Skim: Agropur – Lake Norden (first and third place)

Class 19 – Provolone, Mild: Agropur– Luxemburg (third place)

Class 21 – Provolone, Smoked: Agropur – Luxemburg (first place)

Class 22 – String Cheese: Agropur – Little Chute (third place)

Class 28 – Feta: Agropur – Weyauwega (third place)

Class 83 – Low-Fat Cheeses: Agropur – Weyauwega (second place)

Class 84 – Reduced-Sodium Cheeses: Agropur – Luxemburg (third place)

Class 135 – Shredded Italian-Style Cheeses: Agropur – Weyauwega (third place)

Class 137 – Crumbled Cheeses: Agropur – Weyauwega (third place)
