Agropur welcomes the return to work of its Granby employees

Granby, QC, August 3, 2022 – Agropur is pleased that the majority of employees at the Granby cheese dairy voted today in favour of the tentative agreement to renew the collective agreement and that they will return to work on August 8.

This is a long-term agreement that will run until 2026. The Cooperative believes that it has reached an agreement with the employees that will ensure stability for the coming years.

The employees also approved the return-to-work protocol. They will gradually return to work next week to clean the plant in order to resume cheese production as soon as possible.

The end of the strike means that the Granby plant will be able to start receiving milk again in the coming weeks, which will help ensure the supply of our customers and avoid further food waste. Agropur would like to thank its customers, partners, employees and members who showed resilience during this period.
