Agropur's 87th Annual General Meeting
Agropur well positioned to meet the strong demand for protein‑enriched products
Dairy farmer members from across Québec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia gathered at Agropur’s 87th Annual General Meeting to review the past year and discuss the Cooperative’s future outlook.
Our President, Roger Massicotte, welcomed members and highlighted the progress made in 2025.
“Agropur delivered solid financial results this year, strengthening its ability to continue growing and investing in its future. Despite current economic uncertainty, Agropur remains well positioned to support its communities with nutritious, high‑quality dairy products while ensuring its long‑term success.”
Agropur’s Chief Executive Officer, Émile Cordeau, shared a positive year‑end review and highlighted the Cooperative’s priorities for the years ahead.
“Over the past few years, the Cooperative has maintained robust financial health. We must continue enhancing our operational efficiency to reduce costs and maintain our competitiveness. We also plan to increase our capacity for value‑added dairy processing, particularly in the high‑protein segment. This strategy will help create more value for the Cooperative and enable us to face future challenges with greater resilience.”
The Cooperative generated $8.9 billion in revenue, representing 2.0% growth compared with 2024, while EBITDA increased to $686.4 million, a 12.6% improvement over the previous year.
This performance allowed Agropur to distribute $70 million in patronage returns to its dairy producer members.
Club of Excellence 2025 : Agropur crowns its Grand Champions
As part of the AGM held on February 11, 2026, Agropur announced the Grand Champions of the 2025 Club of Excellence. Two member farms distinguished themselves among top performers and earned the Cooperative’s most prestigious quality awards:
Ferme Gagnonval of Sainte‑Hénédine, QC (Chaudière‑Appalaches) – Milk Quality Award
Ferme Janibert of Ange‑Gardien, QC (Montérégie) – Animal Welfare Award
Milk Quality Award
Selected from 13 finalists, Ferme Gagnonval earned the Milk Quality Award for a second consecutive year, recognized for its exemplary and consistently high‑quality milk. Founded in 1985 and operated by brothers Daniel and Marc Gagnon, this Holstein herd operation places meticulous care into every aspect of production—from genetics to nutrition.
Daily adjustments, careful observation, and disciplined herd management enable the Gagnons to deliver outstanding milk quality year‑round.
Animal Welfare Award
The Animal Welfare Award was presented to Ferme Janibert, a multigenerational family operation led by Maryse Forgues and Yves Robert, alongside their children Maxime, Xavier, and Marjolaine.
The farm is recognized for its modern, innovative facilities and commitment to animal well-being. Among the keys to its success is a milking parlour equipped with an automated sorting system that enables personalized care.
“Our award winners contribute to the economic vitality of our regions and to the strength of our food supply chain. Their expertise and daily commitment raise the standards of our dairy industry and ensure that consumers have access to healthy, high‑quality local products. Through their passion and determination, they inspire us to reach even higher and continue striving for excellence,” said Roger Massicotte.
