Agropur initiates a voluntary recall of certain milk products manufactured at its Bedford, Nova Scotia plant

Longueuil, March 25, 2026 – Agropur announces it has initiated a voluntary recall of certain milk products manufactured at its Bedford, Nova Scotia facility. The recall primarily affects cartons of Farmers brand milk, as well as Québon chocolate milk and Natrel lactose-free chocolate milk.

This decision follows an investigation triggered by a consumer complaint, which identified a potential risk for the presence of material resembling glass in certain products. We confirm that the situation is now under control. We are continuing our internal investigation to determine whether any additional measures need to be implemented.

Agropur has notified the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) of the situation and will closely cooperate with them on next steps, in accordance with existing protocols.

The safety of the consumers and product quality are among Agropur's highest priorities. For more information, consumers may consult the CFIA website or contact Agropur’s customer service.
