Agropur Issues Voluntary Recall of Certain Milk Products Made at Bedford, Nova Scotia Plant

Agropur has initiated a voluntary recall of certain milk products manufactured at its Bedford, Nova Scotia facility. The recall primarily affects cartons of Farmers brand milk, as well as Québon chocolate milk and Natrel lactose-free chocolate milk.

This decision followed an investigation that was prompted by a consumer complaint, which identified a potential risk of the presence of material resembling glass in certain products. The situation is now under control and an internal investigation is ongoing to determine whether any additional measures are required.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has been notified and Agropur is working closely with the agency on next steps, in accordance with established protocols.
