Animal Welfare Award

For the sixth edition of the Animal Welfare Award, three farms achieved a cumulative score above 75%, confirming the excellence of their practices and their commitment to animal well-being.

These farms, with quotas ranging from 80 to 684 kilograms, stand out for their modern and respectful approach. They use free-stall housing to promote herd comfort and have redesigned their facilities through renovations and new construction aimed at improving the animals’ environment. Two of them use milking parlors, while the third recently adopted robotic milking. Simplifying operations is also a priority, and they consistently strive to make their processes more efficient.

The Animal Welfare Award is open to all members who wish to showcase the quality of their work. In addition to providing a description of their operations, applications must:

» Demonstrate excellence in animal welfare
» Inspire other producers
» Project a positive image within our industry
