Ferme Pierlie in Saint-Adelphe-de-Champlain is Crowned Milk Quality Grand Champion

Longueuil, February 4th, 2020 – Sixteen regional champions were honoured at Agropur’s 31st  Club of Excellence Gala, which was held in Quebec City on January 31. The event recognized the dairy farms that achieved the best milk quality results amongst Agropur members.

 

The cream of the crop


Ferme Pierlie, located in Saint-Adelphe-de-Champlain, Quebec, distinguished itself by achieving the best overall combined result for their milk quality and milk house inspection. The farm, owned by Julie Michel and Pierre Guévin, has a herd of 85 Holsteins, including 48 lactating cows which produce an average of 11,942 kg of milk per animal. An honourable mention was also awarded to Dairy Creek Farm, located from in Ward’s Creek, New Brunswick.

Determined from amongst all members in Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland and Labrador, these new champions have joined the ranks of Agropur’s Club of Excellence. Since its inception in 1988, the Club of Excellence has welcomed more than 2,100 regional champions. All Agropur members are eligible  to participate in the rigourous competition.
